Thank you for continuing to follow our journey! Here are links to our new social media accounts, where we will be posting updates to as well as on this website:

“These are the hands that will countless times wipe tears from your eyes; whether in sorrow or in joy. These are the hands that will comfort you in illness, and hold you when fear or grief engulfs your heart.”

These words were spoken during the handfasting ceremony at our wedding. And they ring true today more that we could have ever imagined.

We promise we aren’t always immersed in sadness. We smile. We laugh. We see the beauty in it all.

Enjoy our unintentional glamor shot the day we both wore our new favorite shirts!

The start of the holiday season has really knocked me off my feet. I was expecting it, but really not this soon.

I’ve always heard that with grief, the firsts are the hardest. So far we’ve survived many firsts without our baby girl.

First night home.

First week without her.

First month without her.

First season without her.

First day back to work without her.

And so many more...

And now as we approach our first family holiday without her, the waves of grief are smashing ashore harder and harder.

I knew I needed to do something to fulfill myself. Something to keep my mind busy (besides work) and give me purpose every day.

So, I decided to really dive in deep on finding moms to help. One wasn’t enough!

And oh boy I have! I’ve joined so many groups and stalked so many message boards and written so many comments and messages.

And let me tell you. These mamas have responded almost immediately! Why? Because receiving a fatal diagnosis for your unborn baby is the most isolating thing I’ve ever been through in my entire life. And they’re in the fog of that right now.

While I wish that I was connecting with other moms in a different situation, I am so thankful that I have been placed here to hopefully be a little lantern of light in their darkness.

So now I am engrossed in building relationships and sharing experiences with some of the only women in the world who get it. I’m so excited to get these boxes sorted and shipped out to them.

I really want to thank each and every one of you for allowing Jon and me to help so many other families in Isla’s name.

Keep an eye on this page and giftsoftime.org for more as we continue our journey.

Also, wear your PAIL pin with pride, for it can help change lives.

With love,

Elizabeth, Jon, and Isla
